Their matcha tiramisu and strawberry shortcake are the best!!! Not too sweet, fresh and soft. They also have small slices if you want to try first.

First time we ordered a MATCHA TIRAMISU here and by far this is the best we have around downtown bakeries. Not too sweet, not greasy at all! Will order our next birthday cake here again!

First time ordering a cake from here, Matcha Tiramisu. I didn’t think a matcha tiramisu cake would be tasty but I was wrong. It was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend.

This cafe/bakery has become one of my favourite places in Toronto within a very short period of time. My first order there was the strawberry shortcake to celebrate my anniversary with my partner, and I was immediately impressed by how delicately balanced the cream was in terms of both texture and flavour. It was light but also dense enough to hold the cake together, and the subtle sweetness really helped accentuate the natural sweetness of the fresh strawberries. There was also just the right amount of sponge, cream, and strawberries inside the cake.

My second cake from here was the Belgian chocolate mousse cake, which had just the right texture and that rich chocolate flavor you would expect from Belgian chocolate. Similar to the strawberry shortcake, I thought it had just the right amount of sweetness, the balance of the flavors and different textures was also flawless with this cake.

The most recent cake I've tried from there was the matcha tiramisu cake, which has been my favourite so far. When I tasted the cream by itself, I thought it might be too sweet. However, when I ate a piece with the sponge, the cream and the matcha powder, it made complete sense as the sweetness of the cream was just the right amount to offset the bitterness of the matcha powder on the top. It was such a delicately balanced cake, I was very impressed and happy with my purchase.

This has become my go-to place for cakes for any occasions. I love that I don't have to order the cakes days in advance and can always expect them to have delicious cakes I can pick up and also have messages written on the cakes. The cafe itself has a charming vibe, it's a beautiful and upscale place with very high ceiling. The staff there are always pleasant and do their best to deliver the best products and service. It is tucked away from the main areas of Yorkville, but it is within a few minutes walk away from Bay and Bloor and 100% worth going slightly out of the way to try this place.

I’m a home cook myself and I’ve had many fancy desserts before, but can I just say that their strawberry shortcake is **the best** that I’ve ever tasted. The ratio of sponge cake and cream is absolutely perfect and the strawberry flavour is spot on. This is the first cake that I wanted more when I finished it.

FYI their Matcha tiramisu and mango chocolate are great as well. Not fancy but the quality is assured.

I've tried numerous flavours of cupcakes and cakes and they were all excellent, light, and not too sweet. They have nailed the flavour of red velvet, as most places just make an awful red chocolate cake. Dessert lady, however, get the complex buttermilk/salty-sweet flavour just right. The cake could be a tad bit more moist, but it is still excellent and far superior to most bakeries. Their matcha tiramisu is also exquisite. Light and creamy, without the cheap spongy taste you often get with mousse cakes. A++

The service is also exceptional, courteous, and consistently attentive. After many visits, this is now my staple bakery.

I got the matcha tiramisu cake. Really good and pretty cakes. I prefer matcha tiramisu over their strawberry shortcake. The shortcake was bland and needed be more sweet. Service is great!

Matcha tiramisu: very strong flavour of matcha, if you’re a fan of the matcha flavour you will like it as much as me

The lunch set includes bake pepper, French onion soup and a tiny creme brûlée. For $25. It tastes pretty good but not super awesome. With the good portion I think it’s well worth the $25.

I recently ordered the Matcha Tiramisu cake for my fiancée's birthday. I was just browsing around to see if there is a decent and convenient location for me to get a cake and that's when I came across Dessert Lady. The cake tasted even better than it sounds. We ate dinner at REDS tavern and even ordered desserts, but the cake Match Tiramisu cake was far better than the ones we got from the restaurant. It's flavourful and not too sweet. It was lovely. Will definitely be back for it!
