Meet the Dessert Lady

Mandy has always had a strong passion with baking and creating desserts. She fell in love with food when she was little. Dining out, trying innovative food or desserts whether it's in a small gourmet shop or fine dining restaurants are Mandy's favourite things to do. It's always been her dream to open a shop to create her own little pastry world. Making "yummy" treats for people and ensuring her customers are happy gives her lots of satisfaction and motivation.

Mandy obtained her culinary training in New York City at the renowned French Culinary Institute and further completed her chocolate and sugar work training at the International School of Confectionary Arts in Maryland. She performed her pastry magic as a chef at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Florida, along with many well-known places in Toronto such as the Superior Restaurant and Summerhill Market.

Mandy's dream has finally come true with tremendous support from her customers, friends, family, and former employers. She opened the Dessert Lady on April 16, 2005. Mandy puts a lot of thought and creativity into her quaint pastry shop in Yorkville. She is determined to make and give the best to her customers who know how to pamper themselves.
